CDKN supported the Ministry of Climate Change, Government of Pakistan in building its capacity to plan and develop its INDC for submission to the UNFCCC. The focus of this project was on developing an “INDC Roadmap for Pakistan” and an accompanying workplan and timeline for the Government of Pakistan to implement the roadmap by building on and taking full account of previous and ongoing work in Pakistan, relating to relevant policy and data. The project incorporated consultations and capacity building with the Pakistani Government, specifically the Ministry of Climate Change. CDKN achieved a progressive sensitisation of key stakeholders within the Government to INDC and the associated benefits and costs. The project helped towards a more ambitious and comprehensive INDC submission by the Government of Pakistan, leading to enhanced international support for climate compatible development within Pakistan.

The project resulted in an INDC Roadmap for Pakistan to support the Government in developing its INDC submission to the UNFCCC and a work plan for implementation of the roadmap.
