Resilience Evidence Coalition

Resilience Evidence Coalition

Context

Following on from the successes of the Resilience Evidence Forum, the Resilience Knowledge Coalition has now transformed into the Resilience Evidence Coalition. Hosted by the Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) and co-led by CDKN and the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), the coalition is a network of networks of individual members that connects existing initiatives and builds on their successes through a systemic approach so that they can become greater than the sum of their parts.

Project objectives

The coalition aims to refine the focus of the previous community of practice, drawing from a learning-by-doing methodology. It seeks to enhance and broaden the representation of Southern voices in evidence while also leveraging existing initiatives for further development.

Project activities

Global South Talent Pool

The Global South Talent Pool is an internship programme for graduates and young experts from the Global South. This programme includes capacity building, experience exchange and support for the graduates and young experts.

Online Platforms

The Resilience Platform is an online inventory of resilience expertise (organisations, networks, solutions, stories and people) to help design, implement and evaluate the resilience components of development plans, policies and investments. This platform curates proven resilience knowledge, case studies and evidence.

Knowledge into use

The coalition creates avenues for resilience programming by connecting evidence-based solutions with investments, testing and scaling opportunities, as well as providing MEL support during the process of prototyping, testing and scaling initiatives. The coalition plays the role of a connector and facilitator.
